She will be playing the role of a produce-manager at a grocery store who aspires to be a chef.

As per the showrunners, Love is meant to possess quite a different personality from Beck’s as she is uninterested in social media and self-promotion.

Additionally, her bond with Joe will be based greatly on the grief of the two characters.

Pedretti was earlier seen in Netflix’s popular show The Haunting of Hill House as Eleanor “Nell” Crain. She also played Lulu in Quentin Tarantino’s latest Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

The first season ended with Beck’s (Elizabeth Lail) death.

Meanwhile, Joe’s ex-girlfriend Candace made an entry during the finale of the show confirming that she is alive and back in his life.

You is based on Caroline Kepnes’ novel of the same name.

The upcoming episodes will be based on her follow-up book Hidden Bodies. Based on the book, Joe will be seen moving to LA from New York in the show as well.

You’s season 2 is all set to premiere a day after Christmas (December 26, 2019).
