Filming wraps up for Applause Entertainment’s ‘The Rapist’

Filming for Applause Entertainment’s first feature film ‘The Rapist’ has concluded.

The Indian content creation studio made the announcement via Twitter:

The Rapist boasts a stellar cast, featuring the likes of Konkana Sen Sharma and Arjun Rampal.

Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Aparna Sen, Konkana Sen Sharma’s mother, the film is “a human drama that will reflect the trauma of a violent sexual crime”.

The mother and daughter reunite after the 2013 Bengali film ‘Goynar Baksho’.

Applause has collaborated with Quest films for the production of the drama. It is yet to be announced which platform the film will stream on.

The studio has a string of releases coming up, including a remake of the French series ‘Call My Agent!’ and a show on Satyam Computer Service’s founder Ramalinga Raju.
