The upcoming season of the popular Israeli show, Fauda, is set to be released on 16 April on Netflix.
The crime drama focuses on Doron Kavillio and his team, an undercover unit. Doron is a commander in the Mista’arvim unit of the Israel Defence Forces.
The trailer of the third season shows Doron going undercover in the West Bank. He disguises himself as an Israeli Arab boxing instructor in a sports club, which is owned by a member of Hamas, a Palestinian fundamentalist militant organisation.
During the operation, the team will have several dangerous encounters with the members of Hamas; one particular incident would spell disaster and shatter the team’s morale. Unlike the previous seasons, the team will land up in the unfamiliar territory of Gaza this time.
Lior Raz plays the character of Doron Kavillio in the web series. Raz is also the creator of the show along with Avi Issacharoff. The plot of Fauda is inspired by their personal experiences in the Israel Defence Forces.
Apart from Raz, the cast of the web series includes Itzik Cohen, Neta Garty, Rona-Lee Shim’on, Boaz Konforty, and more.
Rotem Shamir has directed this season of the highly acclaimed show. It was voted the best international show of 2017 by The New York Times.
