Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Toofaan’ postponed due to Covid crisis

Producers Excel Entertainment and ROMP pictures have decided to postpone ‘Toofaan‘ due to the recent surge of Covid-19 cases in the country.

The film stars Farhan Akhtar and Mrunal Thakur in the lead and was set to release on May 21. A new date will be announced for the release once the situation gets better.

The narrative portrays the journey of Akhtar from a goon to a national-level boxing player. It also stars Paresh Rawal, Supriya Pathak Kapur, Hussain Dalal, Dr. Mohan Agashe, Vijay Raaz, and Darshan Kumaar.

Toofaan is Akhtar’s second stint with director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
