'This show is a part of me': Emilia Clarke reflects on her role in Game of Thrones

In the latest episode of Facebook Watch’s Game of Thrones: Behind the Scenes, Emilia Clarke talks about her role as Daenerys Targaryen and reminisces on her time spent with the cast as the show is headed to premiere its final season on April 14th 2019.
She says in the 5-minute long episode that the show has sharpened her as an actor.
In awe of the character that she plays, Emilia describes her as, “a tapestry of my entire adult life. Within each major scene with Daenerys, is a major scene of my life.”
While talking about her first day on the show, she says, “I was falling off a horse and hanging on for dear life”,  which led her to cry in front of the entire cast and crew.
She also talks about her friendship with Iain Glen, who plays Ser Jorah Mormont in the show and describes him as her “pal, my number one and my buddy”. She mentions that there is an ease to acting with him and that Iain has really helped her “as a person on a real level.”
When it comes to the entire cast, she gets emotional and thinks of the cast and crew as her family. She says, “It’s a family. There’s no ego. We’re in it together.”
Emilia talks about how the show has changed her life as a person and as an actor. “This show has set me free. It has literally given me my freedom as an actor and as a female because of the strength that I had to have to play her.”
The episode also included clipping of a few bloopers while Emilia was shooting as well as some clips of significant scenes of her role as Daenerys Targaryen.
