Drive: Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandes take on car chases and a heist

Netflix India has dropped the trailer for its upcoming original movie Drive.

Starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandes, the movie is packed with high-speed car chase scenes and a heist led by Rajput.

The cast is also supported by Boman Irani and Pankaj Tripathi, who are part of the officials assigned to catch them. The trailer is packed with fancy sports cars giving hints of Fast and Furious and Dhoom franchises coupled with Netflix’s original drama Money Heist.

Rajput plays the role of a Formula One test driver and teams up with Sapna Pabbi and Vikramjeet Virk to rob the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Virk is known for his roles in Hindi Television and regional films.

Pabbi has made a mark in the digital space with her shows like Amazon Prime Video India’s Four More Shots Please! and the Bindass original The Trip. She was also seen in the Anil Kapoor starrer television series 24.

The movie was originally meant to be released theatrically. However, Karan Johar – the co-producer of the film – announced it to be a Netflix release earlier this year.

Johar is jointly producing the film with his mother Hiroo Johar and the CEO of Dharma Productions Apoorva Mehta.

Earlier this year, Johar’s digital division named Dharmatic signed a deal with Netflix India.

Fernandes is also working on another Netflix project named Mrs. Serial Killer with Shirish Kunder. However, Drive marks Rajput’s debut in the digital space.

Drive is directed by Tarun Mansukhani.

After several delays, the movie is all set to release on November 1. You can catch the trailer here:
