Dracula: Netflix’s take on the classic novel

Netflix has released the trailer for their upcoming thriller Dracula.

The show stars Claes Bang, Dolly Wells, Corrina Wilson, Morfydd Clark, and Sacha Dhawan in pivotal roles.

Dracula has been created by the makers of Sherlock (Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss) and Doctor Who. The mini-series revolves around two timeframes (past and present) and is showcased on BBC One in the UK.

The trailer shows Bang playing the dreaded The Count and Wells in the role of Sister Agatha who is on her path to take Dracula down.

The show consists of only three episodes. It has been directed by Jonny Campbell, Damon Thomas and Paul McGuigan. Campbell previously worked on Westworld while McGuigan is known for his work behind Sherlock.

The official description of the show reads as follows:

“He’s been around for centuries, but what happens when a worthy adversary bites back? From the makers of “Sherlock,” Claes Bang stars as Dracula in this brand-new series inspired by Bram Stoker’s classic novel.”
