Dora and the Lost City of Gold now on Amazon Prime Video

The live action adaptation of the famous children’s cartoon, Dora and the Lost City of Gold is now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. The film was helmed by British film director James Bobin and initially released on 8 August 2019.

Dora Marquez, a teenage explorer, embarks on a mission with her pet monkey, Boots, and her friends to rescue her missing parents and solve the mystery of a fabled city of gold.

Dora and the others are drawn into their off-exhibit archives on a class field trip to a museum, where they’re kidnapped by mercenaries led by Powell (Temuera Morrison) who takes them to Peru. When they land, they are helped by a man called Alejandro (Eugenio Derbez), who appears to be a friend of Dora ‘s father. 

The mercenaries, backed by Swiper, steal Dora’s map in the process. Alejandro claims that the parents of Dora have been missing and that the mercenaries are looking for them, planning to reach Parapata and steal their gold. With Alejandro ‘s help, Dora aims to find her parents first, while the other teens come along with the hopes of getting out alive.

Dora And The Lost City Of Gold is based on Dora the Explorer by Chris Gifford. 

The film stars Isabela Moner, Eugenio Derbez, Michael Pena as prominent characters.
