Irrfan Khan’s ‘Doob: No Bed of Roses’ now streaming on Netflix

Late actor Irrfan Khan’s last international project, ‘Doob: No Bed of Roses’ is now streaming on Netflix. The 2017 Bangladeshi film also stars Nusrat Imrose Tisha, and Parno Mitra.

Directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, produced by Jaaz Multimedia (Bangladesh) and Eskay Movies (India) and co-produced by Irrfan Khan, the movie was Bangladesh’s official entry for Oscars 2019.

Irrfan plays the character of Javed Hasan who is an accomplished director. Javed faces some ups and downs while going through a midlife crisis when he meets his daughter’s childhood friend whom he later marries. This creates a national scandal and chaos in their personal relationships.

‘Doob: No Bed of Roses’ bagged the Independent Jury award at the 39th Moscow International Film Festival and was also nominated for Golden Goblet Awards in Shanghai International Film Festival before its release.

The late actor is an icon of Indian cinema whose hard-work and excellence earned him global successes. Some of his greatest performances include ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, ‘Life of Pi’ and ‘Jurassic World’, and many more. Khan was one of the most celebrated actors in Bollywood and was loved by his fans for his modesty and integrity.
