Dhanush starrer Karnan to stream on Amazon Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video has released the trailer of the Tamil action-drama ‘Karnan’. This Dhanush-starrer is slated to be available for streaming from May 14.

The trailer begins with the images of a headless statue, a sword, people wearing the mask of a goddess, and a predator bird attacking the little prey. This is followed by the visuals of Karnan mounted on a horse with a sword in one of his hands, on his way to fight the powerful and be the saviour of the villagers.

The trailer features an intriguing background score. It also seems that the visuals carry symbolism as a way to communicate bigger ideas.

Directed by Mari Selvaraj (Pariyerum Perumal), the movie also stars Rajisha Vijayan, Lal, Yogi Babu, among others.

Selvaraj said in a press statement: “With a strong storyline coupled with Dhanush’s incredible acting prowess, I knew the film had the potential to be a hit with fans. I am excited that the film is getting its digital debut.”

Karnan earlier opened in theatres on 9 April, 2021, with positive word of mouth, and became a box office success.
