The trailer for the second season of Dev DD on ALTBalaji has been released. This season will retain Asheema Vardaan in the lead role as Devika, but with a revamped character arc.
Three years after the massive success of Dev DD season one, the makers have planned on a comeback. The first season featured a female reworking of the classic Devdas, and challenged institutions of sexism and homophobia head on.
As the description of the show states, the second season will present “a more savage version of Devika”. The show’s producer Ekta Kapoor tweeted about the release.
Dev DD season 2 is all set to release on 20 February. Catch the trailer:
