‘Delhi Crime’ season 2 most awaited Indian web series: YouGov survey

According to a recent YouGov Survey, ‘Delhi Crime’ season 2 has been voted the most awaited web series of 2021 in the Indian contingent. Family Man season 2 is the most popular of the shows published this year, with two out of five people saying it is their favourite series.

YouGov’s latest research claims that the season 2 of ‘Delhi Crime’ is the most anticipated web series this year among OTT platform fans in the country (as said by 22 per cent). 

Despite the lack of an official release date, the International Emmy-winning drama series thrilled audiences with its first season, and the anticipation for the second season is mounting.

Richie Mehta wrote and directed the Indian crime thriller series , which is currently available on Netflix. The series stars Shefali Shah, Rasika Dugal, Adil Hussain, and Rajesh Tailang and is produced by Golden Karaven, Ivanhoe Productions, Film Karavan, and Poor Man’s Productions. It is set during the aftermath of the 2012 Delhi gang rape case.

Along with season 2 of ‘Delhi Crime’, fans are looking forward to the sequels of Voot’s mythological thriller, ‘Asur’ (20%), Kay Kay Menon’s ‘Special Ops’ (19%), ‘Kota Factory’ (18%), ‘Four More Shots Please’ season 3 (14%) and ‘Little Things’ season 4 (14%). 

YouGov also polled individuals about their favourite online series in 2021. The action-thriller ‘The Family Man’ season 2 (40%) ranked as the most popular show among OTT viewers in urban India among the shows already released this year.

The Family Man is an Indian espionage action thriller streaming television series starring Manoj Bajpayee as Srikant Tiwari, a middle-class man secretly working as an intelligence officer for the Threat Analysis and Surveillance Cell (TASC), a fictitious branch of the National Investigation Agency. 

It was created by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. and stars Manoj Bajpayee as Srikant Tiwari, a middle-class.

When it comes to digital platforms, the most popular for watching Indian web series is Amazon Prime Video (53%), followed by Netflix (47%), and Disney+ Hotstar (43%).
