Dealer on Netflix: Fierce crime drama from France

Netflix has released the trailer of an upcoming French web series, ‘Dealer’ which will release on the platform on March 10. It stars Sébastien Houbani, Abdramane Diakité, Mohamed Boudouh, among others.

After the success of ‘Lupin’, the streaming giant is evidently paying more attention to French content.

The official synopsis of the web series says:

“Franck, a music video director, infiltrates a rough neighbourhood in the South of France to film Tony, a charismatic but unpredictable drug gang leader wanting to break into the rap music scene. Using his camera to reveal the hidden, true face of drug dealing, Franck will get caught in a bloody gang war. Each episode is an adrenaline rush.”

Netflix’s first French language original was ‘Marseille’ in 2015. Following the success of Marseille, ‘Marianne’, ‘La Revolution’ and most recent, ‘Lupin’, were also produced to further the French content line-up.

The diverse movies and shows have been well loved by the audience. ‘Narcos’, ‘Money Heist’, ‘Dark’, ‘The King: Eternal Monarch’ and more have proved to be some of the most hit non-English shows. Dealer is expected to be another massive sensation.
