ZEE5 has revealed the trailer for its upcoming Tamil mystery thriller Danny which is all set to release on August 1. The film was originally set for a theatrical release however, owing to the current situation the movie will be receiving a digital premiere.
The story revolves around a female cop, Inspector Kunthavai, (Varalaxmi Sarathkumar) who leads an investigation of a series of women murders.
At the beginning of the investigation, she announces that ‘Danny’ (police sniffer dog) will also be alongside her throughout the duration of the case in hand. Things unfold further as Danny helps in pulling out important clues and Kunthavai puts them together.
The cast of the movie includes Sayaji Shinde, Vela Ramamoorthy, Anitha Sampath, and Ramar. The movie is directed by LC Santhanamoorthy and produced by PG Muthiah and M Deepa.

Aside from Danny, other South-Indian films like Penguin, Sufiyum Sujatayum and Ponmagal Vandhal also landed digital premieres this year due to the pandemic.
