The film also features Elliot Gould, Jessie T Usher, Jamie Chung, Cam Gigandet and Sasha Alexander in pivotal roles.

The official description of the Netflix original reads:

After losing her waitressing job, Katie takes a job as a caretaker to a wealthy elderly man in his sprawling, empty Chicago estate… The two grow close, but when he unexpectedly passes away and names Katie as his sole heir, she and her husband, Adam, are pulled into a complex web of lies, deception, and murder. If she’s going to survive, Katie will have to question everyone’s motives—even the people she loves.

Mendes who is most notably known for portraying the role of Veronica Lodge on CW’s Riverdale will play the lead character of Katie in Dangerous Lies. Usher who will feature as the husband, Adam, was last seen in Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys.

The film has been written by David Golden and directed by Michael Scott.

The trailer promises a classic ‘whodunit’ case with added elements of danger and deceit to spice up the mix.

Dangerous Lies will premiere on the streaming platform on 30 April, 2020.
