Curon: Netflix’s supernatural take on a cursed Italian town

Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming horror Italian series Curon which is set to release on June 10, 2020.

The show will be created by Giovanni Galassi, Ivano Fachin, and Tommaso Matano. The cast of the horror series includes Valeria Bilello, Maximilian Dirr, Anna Ferzetti, Max Malatesta and Luca Lionello amongst others.

The official description of Curon reads as follows:

Seventeen years after the tragic events that forced her to leave Curon, a woman returns home with her twin children. They soon discover that the town is cursed: when you hear the bells of the old church tower ringing, repressed feelings come back to the surface.

Additionally, Netflix announced a plethora of new Italian content in the form of two more shows, one original film and three comedy specials amongst other projects. The working titles for the two shows have been revealed as Tre Metri Sopra Il Cielo Reboot and Fedelta for now.

The OTT platform is recently making a mark in the world of thriller and horror with International releases like Dark and Control Z and Indian releases like Ghost Stories and the upcoming Choked.
