The disaster thriller, Crawl, directed by Alexandre Aja is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. It stars Kaya Scodelario and Barry Pepper in pivotal roles.
As a category 5 hurricane tears through Florida, Haley Keller (Scodelario) ignores evacuation protocol and rushes to check on her father, Dave (Pepper), who isn’t answering her calls. She finds him wounded and passed out in the crawl space of their family home.
The storm worsens and water levels rise in the area. The father-daughter duo tries their best to escape the worsening weather conditions but soon realise a far greater danger. Hungry alligators, brought along by the floods, lurk within the waters and will devour anything in sight. It boasts of a nail-biting premise and is sure to offer a good scare.
Crawl grossed $91.5 million worldwide over a budget of $13.5 million. It also holds an 83% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The film has been distributed by Paramount Pictures and first released on July 12, 2019.
