‘Crashh’ on ALTBalaji: Separated siblings seek reunion

ALTBalaji has released the trailer for ‘Crashh’, a sibling drama web-series to be streaming on the platform. It is set to release on 14 February as a Valentine’s Day special.

The Ekta Kapoor produced web series will star Aditi Sharma, Rohan Mehra, Anushka Sen and Zain Imam on lead roles. ‘Crashh’ is directed by Kushal Zaveri.

The story will be about four siblings who were separated in their childhood after a car crash. They are taken to an orphanage and are adopted by families living far apart. The coming-of-age siblings, now left with merely a photograph and some lucid memories, struggle to find each other.

The trailer has been embellished with classic Bollywood songs of Manna Dey and Kishore Kumar. The song ‘Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka’ a well-remembered song symbolising sibling love, has been used in the trailer. The movie that the song first aired on, was also about the separated siblings, a recurring theme.

However, ‘Crashh’ renovated this theme with a whole new setting, spanning across dark police-stations, chawls and elated college campuses.

Initially, there were speculations about the web series being taken from the American drama web-series ‘This Is Us’, currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Later, the show producer Ekta Kapoor clarified in her tweet that it is inspired from her 1997 television show, and not the American web-series with a similar theme.

The official description of ‘Crashh’ reads: “This Valentine’s Day, will ‘love’ bring them closer or push them further apart?”
