Control Z: Everyone’s a suspect in Netflix’s new high school thriller

Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming Spanish/English high school thriller called Control Z.

The trailer follows Sofia (Ana Valeria Becerril), a socially isolated but highly observant high school student. She gets on a mission to find out the hacker who has been leaking videos and secrets about her school batch-mates.

The cast of Control Z also includes Michael Ronda and Yankel Stevan.

The official description of the show reads as follows:

After a hacker begins releasing students’ most intimate secrets to the whole school, social order at El Colegio Nacional is turned upside down. Popular kids become bullied, outcasts gain status, and everyone is a suspect.

Sofia, a social recluse and know-it-all with a penchant for deduction, must race against the clock to catch the hacker before he releases more secrets. Along the way, she will learn to make friends, have empathy for others, and she might even fall in love.

Netflix released a teaser for date announcement for Control Z last month.

Netflix is known to release a notable slate of non-English shows and movies including new releases like Love 101 and White Lines to cater to its huge global audience. Its original Spanish series La Casa De Papel (Money Heist) is widely known for smashing records of streaming after its release.

Control Z is all set to hit the streaming giant on May 22, 2020. You can catch the trailer right here:
