Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection anime film will be available to stream on Netflix India from July 3. The film released in theatres in Japan last year.
The original anime revolves around Lelouch vi Britannia, an exiled prince of Britannia who vows to take revenge against his nation after being betrayed by his father.
The film takes place a year after the events of the anime’s second season, where Lelouch sacrifices himself to unite the people and crown his sister as the new queen.
The official description on the platform reads:
“New foes and old allies emerge when the peaceful new queen is abducted by terrorists and Lelouch must rise again to save his sister.”
The platform will also begin streaming Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion recap film trilogy from July 3, which retells the anime storyline with alterations.
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection is a direct sequel to the alternate storyline from the films.
The movie becomes the latest in Netflix’s growing list of anime titles, including the likes of One Piece, Yu Yu Hakusho, Black Clover and Baki season 2.
