Chris Pratt’s ‘The Tomorrow War’ features time-travelling battle for survival

Amazon Prime Video has released the trailer for its upcoming original film titled, ‘The Tomorrow War’. The dystopian science-fiction thriller stars Chris Pratt in the lead and will premiere on July 2.

‘The Tomorrow War’ follows a group of elite soldiers that shows up from the future with an urgent warning for present day humanity — Mankind is on the brink of losing a devastating war in the year 2051 against an alien species and the only way left to win is to recruit people from the past to join in.

Among the draftees is a high school teacher and former military man, Dan Forester (Pratt), who nominates himself in order to ensure a safe future for his daughter. Once in 2051, the time-travelling soldiers are met with relentless destruction and despair as they team up up to rewrite the planet’s fate.

Apart from Chris Pratt, the film also stars Yvonne Strahovski, J.K. Simmons, Betty Gilpin, Sam Richardson, Edwin Hodge, Jasmine Mathews, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, and Keith Powers, among others. It has been penned by Zach Dean and directed by Chris McKay.
