Extraction’s Chris Hemsworth sends message for India after cancelled tour

Netflix India has released a video with Chris Hemsworth where he addressed his cancelled tour in India and announced the trailer release date for his film Extraction.

The Netflix original also stars Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda, who is known for his work in theatrical movies like Highway and Sultan. Extraction marks Hooda’s debut in the digital world.

Hemsworth was all set to visit India last month as part of his global tour for the film. However, due to the COVID-19 crisis, the tour has been cancelled.

Since, parts of the movie were shot in India, the Thor star admitted in the video:

“My time in your country during production was unforgettable and I was so looking forward to returning.”

Hemsworth also announced that the trailer for the movie will be revealed on April 7, 2020.

The cast of Extraction also includes stars who have marked their place in the digital world such as Pankaj Tripathi (Mirzapur, Sacred Games, Criminal Justice) and Priyanshu Painyuli (Upstarts).

David Harbour from Netflix’s original thriller Stranger Things will also be seen in the movie.

Last month, Netflix took to Twitter to reveal Hemsworth as Tyler Rake in the poster for Extraction:

The action-packed thriller has been written by Joe Russo of the Russo Brothers (the genius minds behind Avengers: Endgame). Russo Brothers are also producing this Netflix original.

The official description of the movie reads as follows:

“A hardened mercenary’s mission becomes a soul-searching race to survive when he’s sent into Bangladesh to rescue a drug lord’s kidnapped son.”

Extraction is all set to release on April 24, 2020.
