While India is in lockdown, Disney+ Hotstar has decided to organise a digital red carpet premiere for the launch of The Lion King and The Mandalorian on their app.
To raise the excitement of Indian fans before the launch on April 3, Hotstar released several videos of Bollywood celebrities endorsing the streaming platform.
Celebrities took to their respective social media platforms to share the excitement of the launch with their fans.
The list includes popular names like Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Shahid Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Shraddha Kapoor, Kajal Aggarwal, Varun Dhawan and more.
Viewers will be able to interact on the with their favourite actors on the platform during the premiere today at 6 pm (IST). They will also be able to chat and share photos with their friends.
Ahuja shared a sweet message and revealed that she has always been a “Disney Kid”:
Kapoor on the other hand, urged the fans to exercise social distancing and enjoy Disney movies with their families.
Aggarwal informed that she will be on a “Do Not Disturb mode” and asked her fans to join her as she binge-watches the Disney movies.
Dhawan also sent a message for his fans:
Subscribers can watch The Lion King at 6 pm (IST) which will be followed by The Mandalorian at 8 pm (IST).
Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription plan will be for Rs 399 per year while the Premium subscription plan will be for Rs 1,499 per year.
