Calls on Apple TV+: Mystery unravelled through phone conversations

AppleTV+ has released the trailer for ‘Calls’, an upcoming mystery web series told through 12-minute phone conversations. It features Nick Jonas, Lily Collins, Pedro Pascal, and more.

‘Calls’ is based on Canal Plus French series by Timothée Hochet. This innovative new series promises an immersive experience that is crafted using audio and minimal abstract visuals. All nine episodes of the series will stream from March 19.

The show has an excellent voice cast that include Nicholas Braun, Clancy Brown, Lily Collins, Rosario Dawson, Mark Duplass, Karen Gillan, Judy Greer, Laura Harrier, Paul Walter Hauser, Danny Huston, Nick Jonas, Riley Keough, Joey King, Stephen Lang, Jaeden Martell, Paola Nuñez, Pedro Pascal, Edi Patterson, Aubrey Plaza, Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Jennifer Tilly.

The show is directed by Fede Álvarez, who is known for his horror films like ‘Evil Dead’ and ‘Don’t Breathe’. ‘Calls’ is a dark and suspenseful story that untangles with these mysteriously connected phone calls.

Apple is producing the web series with Canal+, Studiocanal and Bad Hombre. It will release in 100 countries and Canal Plus will premiere the French language version. According to some reports, the series will also be launched in Spanish and Latin American markets and its title will be ‘Llamadas’.
