Netflix has announced the premiere date for the upcoming original Shōnen movie, ‘Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King’. It will stream from March 31, 2023.
The film is set within the world of the ‘Black Clover’ anime series which ended in 2021 after four seasons. However, it is unknown if this film will be canon to the show. It has been directed by Ayataka Tanemura, and written by Johnny Otoda and Ai Orii.
The plot details of ‘Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King’ is still under wraps and is expected to be revealed as the release date nears. The film will also release in Japanese theatres on the same day as its Netflix premiere.
The voice cast includes Gakuto Kajiwara, Nobunaga Shimazaki, Junichi Suwabe, and Toshihiko Seki, among others.
The anime is based on the eponymous manga, written and illustrated by Yūki Tabata.
