Twitter reacts to Bigg Boss OTT not being available for international viewers

Voot Select has begun streaming Bigg Boss OTT Season 15 on its platform, exclusively available for Indian residents. International viewers however, have not taken kindly to thesee limitations.

In February 2020, Voot introduced a paid subscription service called Voot Select, an Indian subscription video-on-demand and over-the-top streaming service.

Unlike other outreach OTT platforms, Voot Select is only available in India, and it includes shows from channels like MTV, Nickelodeon and Colors.

On 8 August 2021, Voot Select began streaming the well-renowned Bigg Boss Season 15 exclusively for the streaming service called Bigg Boss: Over-The-Top.

Hosted by Karan Johar, the show will stream for six weeks and include additional features for audiences, including nominations, punishments & report card, making the digital show more inclusive.

However, owing to its limitation, the International audience is displeased with the select reach of the platform and voiced their displeasure on Twitter-

People are more agitated about not being able to vote for their preferred contestant, a feature available live on Voot Select.

Despite the restrictions, ways to watch and vote for Bigg Boss 15 on Voot Select is floating on the internet, making this a much more serious affair. Netizens are urging others and opting for the usage of VPN services and Facebook live to access the features.
