Beyond The Boundary: Brand new perspective on ICC Women’s T20 World Cup on Netflix

Netflix has released the trailer for a new documentary focused on the events of the Women’s cricket world cup held in Australia this year. Titled, Beyond The Boundary: ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Australia 2020, the documentary features a behind the scenes look on the mega tournament which set various records for the female division of the sport.

In an official statement, the ICC said:

“With absorbing visuals, commentary, and interviews in the build-up to and during the event, the documentary is the first piece of ICC original content to be carried by a streaming service. It captures the progress of the teams and the emotions of players as they discuss preparing for such a big event and turning points in different matches.”

The Netflix original contains inputs from professionals and experts, celebrations, dressing-room content and pop star Katy Perry’s performance on the day of the final.

This film is a part of of ICC’s “100% Cricket” project, which was revealed a few hours before the Women’s T20 World Cup final took place. The game was played on International Women’s Day in front of a record-breaking 86,174 spectators at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Beyond the Boundary is streaming now on Netflix.
