Subtle spoiler alert! Penn Badgley has hinted at Guinevere Beck (played by Elizabeth Lail) making a reappearance in Season 2 of Netflix’s You, despite her character being killed off at the end of Season 1.
While we’re unsure of the specifics, we know that Beck succumbed to death at the end of season 1, after being confronted by the truth about her psychopath/stalker boyfriend Joe Goldberg (played by Badgley).
Badgley also affirmed to ETOnline that her reappearance would be a brief flashback that could reveal the circumstances surrounding her death.
There’s a revisitation of that [the murder] with Joe in the second episode of the second season, where you get to see a bit more of the hard reality of what he did to her. In his mind, she’s not even dead. I’m not giving you some kind of spoiler, she’s dead. In his mind, everyone’s still alive because the pain that he feels he suffered at their hand is very much still alive.

Season 2 will be loosely based off of Caroline Kepnes’ Hidden Bodies. Joe will be haunted by memories of Beck, as he relocates to Los Angeles to start over and begin a new life or new love.
