Netflix’s upcoming Indian original series, Bard of Blood, might release in August or September this year, said actress Sobhita Dhulipala in an interview with Bollywood Hungama.
Dhulipala rose to widespread popularity after playing the lead Tara Khanna in Zoya Akhtar’s Made in Heaven, which was acclaimed both by critics and viewers.
A production of Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, Bard of Blood is based on a 2015 Indian fictional espionage thriller novel by the same name written by debutant author Bilal Siddiqi.
Directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, the cast also includes Emraan Hashmi (as Kabir Anand), Ivan Rodrigues, Vineet Kumar Singh and Kirti Kulhari.
Shah Rukh Khan is also producing a film with Netflix named Class of 83.
He earlier stated: “Netflix has shown that Indian stories have a global audience and we would love to use this platform and its reach to tell more stories.”
