Babies: Netflix takes a journey into the minds of infants

Netflix is now ready to venture into the world of newborns with its new documentary titled Babies.

The trailer released on Youtube promises an exciting journey into the minds of infants.

The multi-part series will follow 15 babies through the first year of their lives as Earthlings. According to the makers, it took them three years to cover 15 families from around the globe.

The ‘docu-series’ will include scientific investigation to follow the development of a baby’s mind from infancy to toddlerhood.

With research work from several experts, the show aims to cover a wide variety of questions relevant to babies: from the importance of naps for learning to the benefits of living with cats and dogs.

Its creators claim that the show will “explore each major milestone of development like never before”.

Nutopia Productions, previously known for The Last Czars (also available on Netflix) are behind Babies.

Jane Root, the executive producer of Babies and CEO of Nutopia, said:

“This series showcases incredible, groundbreaking science revealing the developmental leaps and bounds babies go through in the first year of life while capturing the personal and emotional journey of the family as a whole.”

“Babies are the ultimate mystery,” says the voiceover in the trailer and we wholeheartedly agree. It will be quite fascinating to see this mystery unravelled on screen.

Babies will premiere on Netflix on 21 February 2020.
