Baarish season 2: ALTBalaji’s romantic series promises an extra dose of drama

After the success of the first season, ALTBalaji will soon release season two of their romantic web series Baarish.

The streaming platform recently released the teaser for Baarish season 2.

Starring Asha Negi and Sharman Joshi in the lead roles, season one garnered praise from the audience and critics alike. The web series marked the debut of both Negi and Joshi in the digital space.

The first season which premiered in April 2019, explored the story of two complete strangers, hailing from entirely different economic and cultural backgrounds.

On one side we have Gujarati diamond merchant Anuj (Joshi) who manages to build his own business empire after his father’s death. On the other hand, we have Gauravi (Negi)who belongs to a middle-class Marathi family where education is of prime importance.

The presence of rain is the only common thread between the two and it is rain that brings them together.

The heart-warming story of this unusual pair falling in love and the strong performances from the actors moved the viewers enough to want a second season.

While season one ended with them parting ways, in season two, the viewers will witness the union of Anuj and Gauravi.

It will explore their married life as they try to find love and balance in the midst of chaos. The trailer promises a drama-filled ride with the entry of villains who are hell-bent on keeping the couple apart.

Season two of Baarish will see a repeat of the cast from the previous season with a special entry. The makers of the web series also announced the entry of Veteran actor Jitendra in season two. He will mark his digital debut with Baarish 2.

The legendary actor will have a small cameo and will be seen giving important love lessons to the duo.
