Azaadi Ke Liye: Arijit Singh and Tushar Joshi create magic in The Forgotten Army anthem

Amazon Prime Video India has released an official anthem for their upcoming series The Forgotten Army. The song, titled Azaadi Ke Liye, has been composed by Pritam and sung by Arijit Singh and Tushar Joshi.

Kausar Munir & Shloke Lal have penned the patriotic ballad which is sure to evoke a sense of nationalism among the audience. Singh and Joshi’s voices together give a sense of elation as they sing azaadi ke liye (for freedom).

Tushar Joshi has previously provided his voice for films like Jagga Jasoos, Chhichhore and Kalank. Arijit Singh, on the other hand, has been the nation’s heartthrob since he sang his debut song in 2011 for Murder 2 titled Phir Mohabbat.

Helmed by famous Bollywood director Kabir Khan, The Forgotten Army is inspired from true events and tells the story of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose-led Indian National Army which fought for India’s Independence. It stars Sunny Kaushal and Sharvari, who both make their digital debut with the series.

The series will premiere on 24 January 2020, 2 days before India’s 71st Republic Day.
