Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana’s hugely successful social problem comedy film Bala has begun streaming on Hotstar.
The film began its theatrical run on 7 November last year and ended up earning an estimated ₹172 crore worldwide on a modest budget.
Directed by Amar Kaushik, the narrative follows Balmukund Shukla aka Bala, a popular kid in school with great pride in his hair.
But Bala grows up to face premature balding. Now unable to find a bride for himself, he resorts to some hilarious measures.
Bala is the latest in Khurrana’s growing list of back-to-back hit films which began with Dum Laga Ke Haisha in 2015.
The actor’s next Bollywood venture is Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhaan, which will come out in February.
