Amazon Prime Video has roped in Arshad Warsi to be a part of their new unnamed web series. The actor, who is known for his legendary comic roles in films like Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. and the Golmaal franchise, described the new series as “Outrageous.”
While speaking to PTI he said: “As an actor, you want to do something outrageous which I always look forward to. I have got one that is outrageous, which I will be doing for Amazon.
“You will be going nuts and think what I am doing? I would hate to do anything that doesn’t entertain people, no matter what the genre is. It should be exciting and worth watching and not depress people.”
Warsi explained that the web series is “bizarre to another level”. He mentioned that Amazon is excited for the project as well and he has not done anything like this before in his career spanning over two decades.
This is all the information available for Amazon’s new project and shooting is yet to begin. Arshad Warsi has already had a taste of the digital space when he did Voot’s psychological thriller, Asura.
At present, Warsi is awaiting the release of his upcoming feature film Pagalpanti which has been directed by Anees Bazmi. It’s due to hit the screens on 22 November 2019. It also stars Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Ileana D’Cruz, Pulkit Samrat, Kriti Kharbanda, Urvashi Rautela and Saurabh Shukla.
