Netflix has released the first look of the upcoming Original ‘Qala’ starring Babil I. Khan, Tripti Dimri and Swastika Mukherjee. The film is produced by Clean Slate Filmz, owned by Anushka Sharma and Karnesh Ssharma.
The movie follows the sacred and complicated relationship of a mother and daughter. Talking about ‘Qala’, the director Anvitaa Dutt stated that it is a “beautiful, heartbreaking story about a daughter who craves her mother’s love”.
Film’s producer Karnesh Ssharma also expressed joy in announcing another movie presenting a “unique, clutter-breaking and heart-warming” story. After the success of ‘Bulbbul’, ‘Qala’ is their second movie in collaboration with Netflix.
The teaser shows glimpses of cast and crew filming in a snow valley. The movie is the acting debut of Babil Khan (son of the Legendary Irrfan Khan) and will feature Tripti Dimri as the protagonist. The release date of the film is yet to be announced.
