Ansel Elgort to play lead in WarnerMedia’s upcoming series ‘Tokyo Vice’

Ansel Elgort was announced as the lead in WarnerMedia’s new streaming service’s show Tokyo Vice.

The 10-episode web series was given a straight-to-series order by WarnerMedia.

It is based on Jake Adelstein’s book of the same name and will showcase the author’s personal experiences with Tokyo Metropolitan Police.

Elgort has been signed to play the role of Adelstein himself- an American journalist who wants to reveal corruption and embeds himself within the Tokyo Police for the same.

The 25-year-old actor will also co-produce the crime-thriller alongside John Lesher and Emily Gerson Saines.

Alongside Tokyo Vice, WarnerMedia is all set to produce other projects like Love Life, Over My Dead Body and the animated series Gremlins.

While most details are yet to be announced, it is reported that Anna Kendrick will co-produce and star in Love Life.

Additionally, Elizabeth Banks is in the process of developing the podcast Over My Dead Body to a series version.
