Irrfan Khan starrer comedy-drama film Angrezi Medium is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar after facing an early end to its box-office run due to the coronavirus crisis and nationwide lockdown.
It revolves around Champak Bansal (Khan) and his daughter Tarika Bansal (Radhika Madan). Champak, the owner of a sweet shop, does all he can to fulfil Tarika’s wish of studying in London. Will it become a reality?
The cast also includes Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepak Dobriyal, Dimple Kapadia, Ranvir Shorey Pankaj Tripathi, and Kiku Sharda.
Originally released on March 13, the film couldn’t go past day four due to the closing of theatres across India, managing just ₹10 crore at the box office.
Khan has been struggling with neuroendocrine tumour over the past years and wasn’t a part of the film’s promotions.
