Amazon Prime Video unveils new shows and sneak peek of Inside Edge 2 and Breathe 2

Amazon Prime India has unveiled a slate of new releases as well as returning shows after teasing the big announcement on their social media. This includes sneak peeks of new seasons for Breathe and Inside Edge.

One of Amazon’s highly anticipated series, Breathe season 2 will see Abhishek Bachchan’s web series debut where he will replace R. Madhavan as the lead while Amit Sadh has retained his role as Kabir Sawant.

The first season of the series starred R. Madhavan, Hrishikesh Joshi, Sapna Pabbi, Atharva Vishwakarma and Neena Kulkarni and was well received by viewers and critics alike.

Another Amazon popular series – Inside Edge – will come back for a second season. Revolving around the dark underbelly of the cricketing world, the Richa Chadha starrer has proven to be a hit amongst the viewers as well. It is Amazon Prime Video’s first Indian original series and starred Vivek Oberoi, Richa Chadha, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Tanuj Virwani and Angad Bedi.

A new series, Bandish Bandits, is also set to premiere. Directed by Anand Tiwari, who previously directed Netflix Original “Love Per Square Foot,” the show is a musical about an Indian classical singer and a pop star.

Despite their contrasting personalities, the two “set out together on a journey of self-discovery to see if opposites, though they might attract, can also adapt and go the long haul”.

Another Amazon series that looks promising is the Manoj Bajpayee starrer The Family Man. The series will see Bajpayee portray an ordinary middle-class man who hides the secret of his being a world-class spy.

The Forgotten Army, a new Amazon India original, will be directed by filmmaker Kabir Khan – which will mark his debut on the digital platform with the series. The series is based on true events and focuses on men and women who fought for the independence of India as part of the Indian National Army led by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
