Akshaye Khanna is all set to reunite with his ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ director, Vijay Gutte, for his digital debut in an upcoming drama series titled, ‘Legacy’ and will share screen space with Raveena Tandon — his ‘LOC: Kargil’ co-star.
The drama series, according to the director Gutte, will give an insight into the dark side of the professional world, exposing the power struggles and intense rivalries within it.
Khanna, who was last seen in the 2020 release, ‘Sab Kushal Mangal’, is thrilled about the series which according to him will provide quality entertainment to the audience. He said:
“It is refreshing to work on content that challenges our boundaries as an industry as a whole. Given the massive scale of the show, we are cognizant of the immense responsibility to deliver our best to create a content piece the audience looks forward to. I’m glad ‘Legacy’ is going to be my first web series.”
Tandon, last seen in the song ‘Shahar Ki Ladki’ in the 2019 release ‘Khandani Shafakhana’, said:
“It is a fine work of content articulated interestingly to resonate with a global audience. I am excited to be associated with the show and looking forward to begin this journey.”
Gutte stated that he was thrilled to be reuniting with Khanna and exhilarated to have Tandon on board. He remarked:
“This talent powerhouse is set for an epic rivalry.”
Produced by After Studios, AA Films and Sunny Bakshi, the web series, likely to go on floors by late 2021, will be shot at multiple foreign locations.
