Aha: All you need to know about the new OTT platform in Telugu digital world

Aha, a new OTT platform exclusively for Telugu films and web series, has been launched by Arha Media and Broadcasting Limited.

Arha Media and Broadcasting Limited is owned by renowned real estate group and media house My Home Group (which owns TV9 news channel) and has a tie-up with Geetha Arts of Allu Aravind, which produced the latest blockbuster hit movie Ala Vaikunthapurramloo starring Allu Arjun.

Aha is already streaming a couple of its original web series in Telugu such as Geetha Subramanyam 2020, Kotha Poradu and Shit happens. As Geetha Arts has forayed off late into making web series with almost three projects in finishing stages and many in the wings, Aha is going to be the streaming platform for all those web series being created by Geetha Arts.

In addition, the new Telugu hit film Arjun Suravaram, starring Nikhil, is streaming on Aha and there are many Telugu movies already available on the app. These include some classics like Geetanjali and blockbuster movies like Magadheera and Okkadu.

Karthi’s Telugu version of the much-acclaimed latest thriller Khaidi is also set to stream on Aha from Feb 2, 2020

In this era of burgeoning OTT apps, Aha, with an interesting content and attractive interface, is definitely going to give stiff competition to existing established digital players like Zee5, Amazon Prime Video, SunNext, Hotstar and Netflix, who are so far ruling the digital space with many web series and movies in Southern Indian languages streaming on these platforms.

With pricing of $7.99 per month and $69.99 per year, it is to be seen how Aha is going to fare overseas. But if signs are anything to go by, Aha is going to be a name to reckon with in Telugu digital world in the coming days.
