‘A Storm for Christmas’ is a Norwegian limited series that follows a group of passengers who get stranded at Oslo Airport due to a snowstorm. They are then forced to spend hours leading up to Christmas in each other’s company.

The six-part series will stream on Netflix from December 16, 2022.

Official synopsis

“The day before Christmas many flights are canceled in Oslo Airport due to a massive snowstorm. Many people are stuck and all of them have a story. This year the stories all come together.”

Director Per-Olav Sørensen has also helmed another Netflix romantic holiday show, ‘Home for Christmas’. It was Netflix’s first Norwegian original series.


People from different backgrounds are forced to stay in each other’s company as a snowstorm foils their hopes of flying to their respective destinations. As the holiday inches closer, their stories come pouring out.
