Disney+ Hotstar has announced the launch of 11 new short-format shows under a line-up called ‘Quix’. New shows of various genres like crime, thriller, comedy, and romance will feature some of the most famous personalities of the entertainment industry.
Here is a list of all the shows streaming soon on Disney+ Hotstar ‘Quix’:
Chattis Aur Maina
A romantic drama, Chattis Aur Maina follows the story of a dancer, Maina, who falls in love with the son of a local politician. Will their love story survive the challenges put by Chattis’ father, Mahek Singh? The show stars Sandeepa Dhar and Vikram Singh Chauhan in the lead role.
Mukesh Jasoos
Starring Poonam Dhillon, Rahul Bagga, Ruchi Malviya and Rajeshwari Sachdeva, Mukesh Jasoos is a story of a lawyer who aspires to become a detective. Mukesh Jha lives with his mother-in-law after his wife leaves him for his cousin. In a desperate want to solve mysteries, he finds himself in the middle of a serial murder case.
Six
The thriller ‘Quix’ show, Six, revolves around the mysterious murder case of a successful businessman. The investigating officers discover six suspects that include six women who met him on the night of the murder. Who is the killer? The crime thriller show stars Mandira Bedi, Nauheed Cyrusi, Dipannita Sharma and Sid Makkar.
Humara Bar Happy Bar
Humara Bar Happy Bar follows the story of a group of four friends who try their hands at opening a bar in Mumbai. The show chronicles their struggle to cope with their inexperience to run the bar successfully. The star cast of the ‘Quix’ show includes Shantanu Anam, Pranay Manchandana, Manik Papneja and Kriti Vij.
Murder Meri Jaan
Starring Barkha Singh and Tanuj Virwani, Murder Meri Jaan revolves around the story of a runaway bride who marries the ACP of Bhopal police. She helps him solving a murder mystery while the police attempt to catch the biggest con woman, aka ‘Looteri Dulhan’.
Teen do Paanch
Shreyas Talpade and Bidita Bag play the role of a young couple who decide to adopt kids as they are unable to conceive. A twisted fate lands them with three adoptions, testing their lack of experience and unpreparedness. How will they manage to pull off the responsibilities when the wife realises she is pregnant with twins?
Shit, Yaar!
Two young corporate executives, influenced by alcohol, end up having an adventurous and hilarious weekend involving two dangerous crime lords and the cops. The star cast includes Sayandeep Sengupta, Sahil Shah, Priyasha Bharadwaj, Rajesh Khera and Vrijesh Hirjee.
Bamini and Boys
Starring Vidya Malavade, Akashdeep Arora, Rishab Chadda and Anuj Pandit, Bamini And Boys follows the story of three flatmates — an actor, an engineer and a bodybuilder. The boys fall in love with their beautiful landlady, which leads to hilarious moments as the three of them continuously try to woo her.
Crime Next Door
Crime Next Door is a crime thriller that follows the life of a police officer who solves dangerous murder mysteries, unravelling hidden motives and revelations behind the crimes committed. The ‘Quix’ show features Yashpal Sharma, Mohan Kapur, Rajendra Gupta, Girish Kulkarni and Anupriya Goenka in lead roles.
Bhopal to Vegas
Ahaan Nirbaan, Sonia Balani and Arun Sharma play the role of three friends who step into opening a business to arrange bachelor parties in Indian small towns. Can they keep their business a secret affair as the clients come up with quirky demands?
Ankahi Ansuni: Jhaagi Files
Starring Paresh Pahuja and Veebha Anand, Ankahi Ansuni: Jhaagi Files is a story of a young and skilled inspector who gets posted in a small town Jhaagi. He discovers vicious conspiracies and mysterious activities in the allegedly inactive city with the help of his quirky teammates.
New short-length episodes of 8-12 minutes are set to release every day on Disney+ Hotstar ‘Quix’ from May 7, 2021.
