Squeezed in tight between Halloween and Christmas is the month of November, which amidst the ongoing festivities always manages to sneak up on us, and tagging along with the month are a slew of web series across platforms, genres, and countries that might just go unnoticed, given the daily supply of content.

To ensure that doesn’t happen, we’ve curated a list of binge-worthy web series ranging from quirky rom-coms that will warm you up for the upcoming season, to spine chilling, creepy encounters nourishing the air of an October that just passed us by.

Love & Anarchy

Setting off on a flirtatious note, the Scandinavian web series showcases a married consultant and mother of two, Sofie (Engvoll) who meets young IT Technician Max (Mosten). After coming across Sofie’s secret, Max challenges her to do certain tasks that challenge societal norms. However, what started as a fun game might just end up wreaking havoc on their lives.

If your brain tricks you, manipulate it. In this Egyptian web series, Refaat Ismail, a cynical haematologist with a dark sense of humour, becomes the go-to guy for paranormal investigations after he is plunged into a series of inexplicable events. Hailing from the empirical world of science, the man is all set to face the world of superstition. Or is he?

Mum Bhai

Mum Bhai revolves around the friendship between a cop and a criminal, set in the milieu of Mumbai’s seedy underbelly from the late eighties to early 2000. Angad Bedi will be seen essaying the role of Bhaskar Shetty, a badass cop and encounter specialist, who has it out for the city’s “scum” and will stoop to their level to clean the streets of the 90s Mumbai. In this tussle of power between a police officer and a gang lord, who will win the title of “Mum Bhai”?

Aashram Chapter 2

The web series binds together the makings of a cult, catching in the process a conman’s transformation into a man of God. While shedding a light on the perils of blind faith, the second season sees to the rise of Baba Nirala as a youth icon, becoming a primary attraction for both the political candidates contesting for the upcoming state elections.

Modi (Season 2): CM to PM

After a stellar first season, the second season will be paving the way for the inspiring journey of our 14th Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi. Spanning three episodes, the upcoming season casts a detailed glance at his rise, highlighting the challenges he faced and the peculiarities of his daily life in his quest to become the Prime Minister of the nation after holding office as the Chief Minister of Gujarat for 12 years.

The Crown (Season 4)

The much anticipated prestigious web series is set to return for season 4. With amazing costumes and set design (as always) from the 80s, the fourth season will pick up with Prince Charles impending marriage and hence the royal family’s quest for a bride. Another new character to be introduced will be Margaret Thatcher (Gillian Anderson), Former Prime Minister of the UK. Her relations with Queen Elizabeth (Olivia Colman) will also unravel this season.

Bicchoo Ka Khel

Cast: Divyenndu Sharma, Anshul Chauhan, Rajesh Sharma, Zeishan Quadri, Satyajit Sharma, and Mukul Chaddha.

If you’ve been longing for another dose of Divyenndu Sharma after Mirzapur 2, the actor is back with his fierce acting skills and a promising story-line meshed in Bollywood tunes. Bichhoo Ka Khel follows the story of a writer, Akhil (Sharma), whose father is killed and he gets no justice due to a police coverup. He uses his skills acquired as a writer to gather sufficient information in order to seek revenge on the perpetrators responsible for his father’s demise.

Mismatched

Cast: Prajakta Koli, Rohit Saraf, Rannvijay Singha, Vidya Malavade, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Taaruk Raina, Devyani Shorey, Kritika Bharadwaj and Abhinav Sharma.

Based on Sandhya Menon’s novel When Dimple met Rishi, the web series follows a mismatched couple and their odd bunch of friends as they attempt to develop an amazing app. While navigating the highs and lows of friendship, we see Dimple and her classmates juggling romance and classes as they try to make it in the big world. A wave of college nostalgia is just the cherry on top.

Dark 7 White

Cast: Sumeet Vyas, Nidhi Singh, Jatin Sarna

For those who are used to seeing Sumeet Vyas in comic situations, Dark 7 White is only further proof that the actor’s got range. Narrating a tale of his own murder investigation, the web series follows the story of Yudi (Vyas), the new Chief Minister who gets killed in an accident. However, upon further inspection, it is revealed that the breadcrumbs trace back to his college friends and the secret they’ve been hiding.

Naxalbari

Available on: ZEE5

Cast: Rajeev Khandelwal, Tina Datta, Sreejita Dey and Satyadeep Mishra.

A crime-thriller, Naxalbari revolves around a STF agent who goes on a covert operation to uncover the truth behind naxal uprising. The action-packed series is a fictional account of the protagonist’s retaliation against the red rising with the narrative constantly switching between the dense jungles of Maharashtra and metropolitan cities which increasingly become hotbeds for Naxal ideology.
