We might be taking our chances with these travel web series, considering the irony of the situation. But we do come in peace and just want you to see every nook and corner of the world on your laptop screen, for coronavirus has certainly stymied the travel bug in some of us.

Remember those times when you could just turn your car into ignition or catch a bus or pass the security check at the airport to get rid of the work-blues (for at-least some time)? What wouldn’t we give to form a “GOA 2020” WhatsApp group to only have the plan busted at the end moment.

We’re here with a curated list of 6 travel web series to help you whip up the best itinerary with the best places to see and the food to eat, all while you’re tugged in your bed, possibly looking like a burrito from Mexico with that blanket tugged all around you.

An Indian Abroad

Traversing through four different main-lands, Amol Parashar, in collaboration with Morris Garages, undertakes enriching adventures. 

An Indian Abroad features Parashar interacting with distinct-local cultures and venturing off-beat experiences in picturesque locations. 

The expedition kicks off at Thailand, moving on to China, Dubai and then finally Egypt. Each place has been encapsulated in four short episodes, making the web series a 12-episode wonder. 

Love Travel Repeat

Love Travel Repeat features the love-struck couple, Kriti Vij and Pranay Manchanda, turning a 2-hour flight from Mumbai to Bangaluru into a 2-week long road trip. 

The travel web series is produced by Hyundai India and Gobble and is spread across seven episodes.

Vij and Manchanda embark on the journey to experience ruck-sacks of adventures, eat delicious street food and visit beautiful destinations, for they “love to travel and travel with love.”

Getting There is a travel web series based in Bangalore, hosted by celebrate comedian Kenny Sebastian.

Alicia Souza, a feature illustrator, Audi Photography and Ritviz star as guests in the series along with Sebastian. 

The comedian explores cities all while riding his motorbike, “revisiting certain people he has met along his unpredictable journey of stand up.”

He combines his love for art and art of riding, with the assistance of Royal Enfield, which are showcased through the three episodes. 

World of MG: Homecoming

Ayush Mehra and Aisha Ahmed are the two shining stars of this travel web series, overcoming all odds to get all things ticked off from their bucket list.

Presented by Tripoto, the travel web series comprise of three seasons in total. The dynamic duo explores Dhanushkodi in the first season, Northeast India in the second season and Rajasthan in the third.

Bazaar Travels

Bazaar Travels is every shopper-traveller’s dream come true. This Gobble web series celebrates the cultural heritage of India.

Barkha Singh, the host of the series, explores the most iconic markets of the country. She wanders into the nooks and corners of the tight, vibrant lanes of Jodhpur, Jaipur, Kolkata and Delhi. 

Join Singh in sifting through shops and shops of beautiful lehengas, accessories and antique jewellery, apparently bestowed by the presence of some legendary celebrities, in this seven-episode-long exhilarating series.

Ugly Delicious

Ugly Delicious is a travel-cooking-history Netflix Original hosted by James Beard award-winning chef, David Chang.

The breadth of the show is Chang along with famous artists, activists and writers breaking down cultural barriers using food as their masterstroke across locales of Houston, Tokyo and Copenhagen.

With all things food and travel, the web series is spread across two seasons with twelve episodes in total.
