A new month and a new wave of digital content is waiting to hit your favourite OTT platforms. July is upon us and with it comes a barrage of binge-watching worthy premiere releases — from new titles to renewed shows — across multiple genres, all set to entertain.

Here’s a list of 10 movies and web series set to be released across July 2021.

Young Royals

Available on: Netflix

Cast: Samuel Aston, Edvin Ryding, Omar Rudberg, Malte Gårdinger, Frida Argento, Nikita Uggla, and Pernilla August

Netflix has added another title to its list with a Swedish show, Young Royals. The teen drama series follows a troubled Prince Wilhelm, forced to transfer to a boarding school after a scandal. Words on the market call this The Crown meets Skins series, with the centre act revolving around the prince trying to balance traditional and personal life.

Haseen Dillruba

Cast: Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey, and Harshvardhan Rane

With Haseen Dilrubba, Netflix brings a brand-new psychological thriller to the table. Rani Kashyap is under investigation as the lead suspect in her husband’s murder. When she begins revealing details of their perplexing marriage, she ends up pushing the truth further into the void, worsening the case for her innocence.

Fear Street trilogy

The Fear Street trilogy series will be coming out every Friday on Netflix in the month of July. It follows the horror-induced journey of teenagers in the small town of Shadyside as they try to escape an ancient evil trapped in the body of a serial killer, who is out for blood. It is based on R.L. Stine’s famous book series of the same name.

The Tomorrow War

Amazon introduces its upcoming American science-fiction action film with the plot revolving around time travel. When soldiers from 30 years into the future travel to 2021, it is revealed that humankind is struggling to battle a deadly alien species. Dan Forester, a father, teams up with a brilliant scientist, and his estranged father to save the world for his daughter. The only option is to go into the future and join the fight.

State of Siege: Temple Attack

State of Siege: Temple Attack is a ZEE5 original film that dramatises the events encircling the terrorist attack on Akshardham Temple in Gujarat in 2002. It follows the State of Siege: 26/11, a miniseries that revolved around the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

Never Have I Ever season 2

A fictional story that highlights a small-time crook’s desire to regain his lost respect to prove his haters and doubters wrong once and for all.

Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans

Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans is a Netflix original computer-animated science-fantasy adventure film based on the Troollhunters series.
