9 best shows & movies coming to Hulu: December 2022

There are a wide variety of shows & movies coming to Hulu in the month of December ranging from holiday-themed movies to foreign dramas.

Shows like “Letterkenny” and “Back in the Groove” are returning for additional seasons while FX Networks is offering up the fantasy drama series “Kindred” on the streaming platform. There are also a pair of Korean dramas, “Big Bet” and “Connect” set to premiere this month.

1. Darby and the Dead

Cast: Riele Downs, Auli’i Cravalho, Chosen Jacobs, Asher Angel, Wayne Knight

Darby Harper has the distinct ability to see dead people and she uses this power of hers to help them pass on by taking care of their unfulfilled dreams.

When Darby is haunted by the ghost of her high school bully, Capri, she’s forced to make some drastic life changes to make sure Capri passes on as soon as possible and out of her life.

2. Back in the Groove

Cast: Taye Diggs

Taye Diggs hosts this reality series where three women in their 40s check into the Groove Hotel where they will be courted by a slew of men half their age.

The women have the chance to find whatever it is they’re looking for while being treated to the complete luxury experience at this hotel by the men competing for their affection.

3. Connect

Cast: Jung Hae-in, Go Kyung-Pyo, Kim Hye-jun, Jang Gwang, Kim Roe-Ha

Ha Dong-Soo is part of a new race of immortal human beings on Earth. One day, Dong-Soo is kidnapped by organ traffickers who harvest his eye.

When he gets up, Dong-Soo realises that he is still connected to his lost eye which has been implanted into a serial killer. He uses this connection to try and stop the serial killer before he hurts more people.

4. It’s a Wonderful Binge

Cast: Dexter Darden, Eduardo Franco, Marta Piekarz, Tim Meadows, Danny Trejo

In the distant future, all drugs and alcohol are illegal except on the day of the Binge. This year, the Binge is set on Christmas days and four friends, Hags, Andrew, Sarah and Kimmi face their unavoidable adulthood and the responsibilities that come along with it.

There’s a marriage proposal, a “Christmas Carol” situation and even a police car chase involving a drugged up escaped convict in one crazy, festive night.

5. The Mighty Ones season 4

Cast: Josh Brener, Alex Cazares, Jessica McKenna, Jimmy Tatro, Fred Tatasciore

The residents of the backyard return for one final season as they get up to crazy adventures and enter unchartered territory when they discover unexplored regions of the backyard.

Twig finds himself in a gladiator pit inside a compost bin and the gang also attempts to launch themselves into space with some hilarious results.

6. Kindred

Cast: Mallori Johnson, Micah Stock, Ryan Kwanten, Gayle Rankin, Austin Smith

Dana gets pulled back and forth between the past and the present, much to her and her husband’s bewilderment. While her trips tp the past give her a glimpse at her family’s history, things begin to unsettle in the present due to her disappearances.

Dana must balance these travels with the support of her husband and figure out the mystery behind what is causing them and how they can be stopped.

7. Grails: When Sneakers Change the Game

Cast: Olajuwon Ajanaku, Earl Cooper, DJ Khaled, Daymond John, Chris Paul

This docu-series tells the story of Olajuwon Ajanaku and Earl Cooper who started the lifestyle brand “Eastside Golf” and how sneakers played a huge part in that brand.

The duo are former Morehouse College golf champions and established the brand to promote diversity on the golf course.

8. Big Bet

Cast: Choi Min-sik, Sohn Seok-gu, Lee Dong-hwi, Heo Sung-tae

Cha Moosik had a rough childhood but he persevered and rose to become the biggest casino mogul in the Phillippines. However, his rise is doubted by many and he hits a rough patch while being investigated for murder.

Cha must fall back on his past experiences to once again overcome the obstacles he faces and return to the top of the food chain.

The series will premiere on Disney+ worldwide and on Hulu in the United States.

9. Letterkenny season 11

Cast: Jared Keeso, Nathan Dales, Michelle Mylett, K. Trevor Wilson, Dylan Playfair

Wayne, Katy, Daryl, and Dan are back for season 11 of Letterkenny where they’ll be involved in all new shenanigans and hijinks such as finding out the best chip flavour, an invasion of influencers, a mystery at a church bake sale and so much more.

The series will be released on Crave on 25 December and on Hulu the next day.
