Disney+ is gearing up for the festival season ahead with a new roster rife with comedies, music, fantasy, and fun.
There is a number of animated and documentary projects hitting the streaming platform Disney+ this December. The most notable additions to next month’s roster dabble in music and animation.
There’s also a dash of fantasy with the slate of films and shows arriving on the streamer soon.
With Pentatonix’s worldwide tour for inspiration, to the resurgence of the ‘National Treasure’ franchise; here are the best 9 shows and movies coming to Disney+ in December 2022:
1. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules
Cast: Brady Noon, Hunter Dillon, Ethan William Childress, Chris Diamantopoulos, Erica Cerra, Ed Asner
Following the 2011 live-action film, ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules’ is the second adaptation of the eponymously titled book by Jeff Kinney.
The 2022 animated feature will see Greg continue to get teased by his brother Rodrick while the new year at school commences. However, a secret can change all of that.

2. Pentatonix: Around the World for the Holidays
Cast: Pentatonix, Nico Santos
Acapella group sensation star in the TV special that follows their struggles to create their next annual holiday album. Their case has been made worse, though, as their misguided manager mistakenly locks them inside a magic mailroom.
However, the band gets to overcome their situation with the help of magic as they tour worldwide and get inspiration from their fans all over.

3. Solo Amor Y Mil Canciones
Cast: Tini, Jorge Blanco, Candelaria Molfese, Mercedes Lambre
A brand new Latin American original, this special sees Tini and her former castmates reunite for a magical night and offer an unforgettable show for the fans.
Tini and the other castmates come together in this special to celebrate their 10th anniversary by performing five of the show’s songs.

4. Idina Menzel: Which Way to the Stage?
Cast: Idina Menzel, Josh Groban, Aaron Lohr
A Disney+ documentary, ‘Which Way to the Stage?’ takes the viewers on the journey of the titular star from her early days to the point of stardom.
Featuring raw footage and interviews, the documentary follows the singer on her journey to realize her dream: of performing at Madison Square Garden.

5. National Treasure: Edge of History
Cast: Lisette Olivera, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Harvey Keitel
With a two-episode premiere, ‘National Treasure’ returns to the screen with a series that brings some old faces back amidst a slew of new and original characters.
The series follows a 22-year-old Jess Valenzuela whose life is turned upside down when she meets a mysterious stranger.
With the help of her friend Tasha, Jess embarks on a mystery-solving adventure, trying to find a lost Pan-American treasure that’s also linked to her long-dead father.

6. If These Walls Could Sing

In her directorial debut, Mary McCartney takes the viewers on a tour of the history of Abbey Road studios in London, featuring some of the greatest names in music who have played there.
