The crime thriller film ‘The Girl on the Train’ is set to stream on Netflix from February 26. It hosts a rich ensemble cast.
‘The Girl on the Train’ revolves around a woman building up a self-reliant life after her divorce and her encounters with another woman from her daily train, which change her life forever.
Directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, the upcoming film is all set to keep its audience guessing.

Parineeti Chopra as Meera Kapoor
Parineeti Chopra makes her digital comeback as Meera Kapoor, who is ‘a curious girl on the train’. On her daily train journey to work, she observes a woman, Nusrat, from the window of her coach. Meera is reminded of her happy life of the past and is instigated by what could be ‘jealousy, self-pity or desire’.
After Nusrat’s gruesome murder, Meera Kapoor is caught in the frenzy. Her amnesia prevents her from vividly remember the incidents from the night of the murder.
Aditi Rao Hydari as Nusrat
Nusrat lives a seemingly happy life with her family, as can be observed from the train. However, beyond the surface, her life is a total mess. The wretched characters of her life show clear motives to be involved in her murder, making the case complex.
Kirti Kulhari as the main investigator
Kirti Kulhari’s character investigates the murder, trying to find the links in the chain. She brings together the evidences and CCTV footages from the various railway stations across London.
Avinash Tiwary seems to be playing a character very close to Nusrat. In the trailer, he is seen threatening her saying: “One day, I’m going to kill you.”
