Yoon Palbong’s death in Uncle Samsik explained

Yoon Palbong was a gangster connected to Uncle Samsik and Kang Seong-min who was killed for what he knew.

Yoon Palbong was the leader of the Dongdaemun gang who regularly did Uncle Samsik and Kang Seong-min’s dirty work together.

The three of them killed Ah Yosub’s son, Ah Minchul, and Yoon Palbong wanted some favors from Seong-min in exchange for his help.

Seong-min considered Minchul a stumbling block in his ascension so he had him taken out, and when Yoon Palbong keeps showing up for his favor, Seong-min gets anxious.

He worries that their shared secret will get out somehow, and he orders Uncle Samsik to have Yoon Palbong killed.

Playing both sides

Uncle Samsik first gets the Seodaemun gang to break Yoon’s legs because he doesn’t want to go through with killing him.

When Seong-min finds out that he is still alive, he insists that the job get done, and asks that Cha Taemin do it.

Cha Taemin was part of a terrorist organization called the Sinuei Alliance that Seong-min started when he was younger.

They killed his father with an explosive, and Seong-min and Yoon killed Ah Minchul with an explosive as well.

Samsik tells Cha Taemin that he needs to kill Yoon Palbong, and sets the wheels in motion. He also met with Yoon Palbong and lied that Seong-min changed his mind.

During a rally for the Innovation party, the Seodaemun gang attacks. Yoon Palbong takes Choo Intae to safety and then looks for a safe escape.

Cha Taemin finds him and shoots him down before shooting Choo Intae by mistake. Yoon is found dead, while Choo Intae is taken to the hospital in critical condition.
