Yoo Hee-Yeon: Marry My Husband character explained

Yoo Hee-Yeon is a major supporting character in Prime Video’s fantasy drama, Marry My Husband. Choi Gyu-Ri plays the character in the show.

Yoo Hee-Yeon is a member of U&K Food’s Marketing Team 1. She is also Yoo Ji-hyuk’s little sister, but nobody at the company knows about it.

A ball of fun

Yoo Hee-Yeon is a bubbly ball of joy that radiates laughter and fun vibes wherever she is.

She has a bit of a knack for losing spatial awareness at times and draws attention with her loud expressions of joy before realizing it.

Professionally, she is a mine of creativity and her talents with a paper and a pen are meticulous.

A knack for the creative

During her stay at Ji-Won’s place, in a matter of hours, she whips out an immaculate and adorable interior design proposal for Ji-Won, drawing many cute designs for her.

Later on, Ji-Won thinks about giving Hee-Yeon some work to do since she wasn’t selected as a member for the meal-kit proposal and has little else to do.

She and Ms. Yang give the responsibility of creating the marketing workshop to Hee-Yeon, which is an official exercise to improve teamwork among the employees.

Hee-Yeon also does a great job with that, except for a minor hitch. She repeatedly displays that she has talent, and that is why Ji-Won helps her.

A great ally

She also does it because Yoo Hee-Yeon is a really great friend.

All that she does for Ji-Won in just a matter of days already outweighs all that Su-Min could’ve ever done for Ji-Won in her entire life.

She helps her be confident and inspires her in moments when Su-Min might be too bleak a reminder for her.

She also uses her membership card to help completely transform Ji-Won’s look.

Her hair, makeup, and wardrobe go through a drastic change which later helps her woo her former schoolmates during the high school reunion.

Hee-Yeon is the best friend that Ji-Won never had in her previous life, but this second chance at life has made her realize the importance of people like Hee-Yeon.

Ji-Won also remembers from her previous life that Hee-Yeon would eventually be fired from the job due to some rumors about her.

This time, with her help, Hee-Yeon just might evade such a fate.

Yoo Hee-Yeon’s personal life

The personal life of Hee-Yeon is quite the trove of secrets too. Nobody in the company knows that she is General Manager Yu Ji-Hyuk’s sister.

Even Ji-Won doesn’t know that, so when she does learn about it she is surprised, especially because she had been thinking until that point that Ji-Hyuk and Hee-Yeon were lovers.

The bond between Hee-Yeon and Ji-Hyuk is the classic sibling type. He tolerates all her drama and tantrums because he truly loves her.

She also has a great relationship with her grandfather who doesn’t exactly share a similarly warm dynamic with Yu Ji-Hyuk.

Overall, Yoo Hee-Yeon proves to be a great ally of Ji-Won in her second life, offering her a friendship that she never was totally alien to in her previous life.
